When I went for my first dress fitting, the head seamstress mistook me for a fresh grad applying for a job at the atelier 😂 probably because I showed up in overalls and alone. My wedding dress was a custom from @fuchsia_lane, a modified design I asked for featuring fabrics I picked out. I was not interested in a traditional white wedding dress and that blue lace was a love at first sight situation. I’d wanted a qipao collar with some modern trappings and more leg room to tromp around in and this dress did exactly all those things while also offering some sexy back ;) To match my collar, Cedric’s custom navy three piece suit, made in HK by this 👌👌 Indian-owned tailoring company, also featured a mandarin collar. Additionally, Cedric & I wore matching necklaces from @rongdesigns, ft upcycled wood, in complementary designs that I requested. They turned out spectacular and now I wear both necklaces casually haha... (by contrast, my earrings cost 50hkd from a shop somewhere in HK and my shoes were on sale for 35cad 🤪) I was bestowed the honour of dressing my whole family and my dad’s suit was a tailored set I picked out for him in Taiwan, and my momma’s outfit was a mix and match embroidered shirt / pants also from @fuchsia_lane 😌 I will conclude this oversharing with the fact that my family is very good looking. #jaziimun #wedding
One of my favourite photos that @janicecyli took on my wedding day. It was a check-in moment, AND a check out moment ;) coz hot damn i looked amaaaaazing 😌 // on another note, we had an unplugged wedding and so there’s not many photos available on social media. i also asked for it to be documented only in analogue so the photos are precious, since not all of them were successful. It’s been almost a year and I’m still reorganizing and sorting content. Would ppl like to see more / hear more about how cedric & i did our wedding? Lmk in the comments pls.

the most special hour of my two week visit / when i put myself to test to be a fun sister / i am grateful we can be friends despite having lived an ocean away since he was born / despite our age difference (which i think my mental age may match his) / that as he grows, he shows care (although i still find it gross that he’s so much taller than me) / to hold the weight to continue to be a sister he will look up to / february is his month and the lead up to his next big step / i believe 태어났을 때 부터 누나랑 떨어져 살았지만, 항상 누나 생각을 해주고 가끔 만나면 친구처럼 지낼 수 있어서 너무 고맙다. 누나의 황금돼지띠해에 새로운 인생의 단계를 시작하게 되는데 잘 버티고 잘 해낼거라고 믿는다.

second stop on january 1st morning with my dad: 선유도仙遊島공원 // a hangang river filtration plant which got transformed into a park with a beautiful walkway, an outdoor theatre and arts space, a cafe and others. apparently one of the best of modern korean architecture. - beginning thoughts: to restore, renovate, refurbish. a life; is that possible. or to steer your life into something exciting. something known but unknown, or the other way around. or to enlighten what seems so overused; or rather to believe that it is very much possible. - 하늘이 참 예쁘다.

on the first day of twenty eighteen, my dad sent me photos from his early morning adventure to gwacheon museum of contemporary art. - on the first day of twenty nineteen, i joined my dad on his second annual adventure to the museum. we took photos with statues that should not be touched & marvelled at the blanket of clouds glistening in the clear blue sky.
